The Miz: Winning The WWE Tag Team Titles With R-Truth Would Be Awesome

On the New Year’s edition of Monday Night Raw, fans saw the reunion of Awesome Truth. While fans may have thought it was a one-night-only deal, The Miz is looking to reunite with his former tag team partner full-time.

Last night on Raw, The A-Lister defeated JD McDonagh. It was then announced that The Miz and R-Truth would be teaming up next week to take on Finn Balor and Damian Priest, the current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

During the episode of Raw Talk, Jackie Redmond asked both wrestlers how it felt to reunite. The Miz was beyond elated and mentioned that the two always produce magic inside the ring.

“It feels good when we are out there together. When we are in that ring, it is absolute magic. Next week… Next week, Awesome Truth versus Judgment Day,” The Miz said.

R-Truth has an issue in teaming up with The Miz

After listening to The Miz, the greatest 24/7 Champion in history had one issue with the match. It was the fact that he still believes that he is in The Judgment Day.

“Miz, I just want to say this though. That sounds good, But I’m in Judgment Day. You see this shirt? We ain’t had it made yet but… It does sound good. But it is kind of confusing though. You know what I am saying? It’s complicated Miz,” R-Truth said.

The Miz replied by trying to motivate Truth by stating that the two were a dominant tag team in the past that had done it all except for winning the Tag Team championships. They could get an opportunity to capture tag team gold if they could beat Balor and Priest next week.

“I understand that you are in Judgment Day. But next week, we are taking on Finn Balor and Damian Priest, the Tag Team Champions. If we beat them, we potentially, potentially could have a match for the Tag Team Championships. Judgment Day versus Awesome Truth.

“It’s not complicated at all. You know what it is? You know what it is? We have traveled the world together, we have main evented together. We have created moments. Moments out there together as Awesome Truth. But we have never been Tag Team Champions. And that’s what’s up. And it could be awesome. Awesome Truth.”

As Miz left, Truth told Redmond that he needed to go talk to the rest of the Judgment Day to clear things up.

“But I’m in Judgment Day. I got to go talk to The Judgment Day and get this cleared.”
