CM Punk Makes A Special Appearance After WWE Raw Goes Off-Air

Last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw was the go-home episode show before the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. The show took place in Anaheim. The night kicked off with Drew McIntyre defeating Cody Rhodes, and the final match of the night was between Jey Uso and Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. But what made the night even more special for the in-ring audience was the unexpected appearance from CM Punk.

The self-proclaimed Best in the World has been sidelined due to an injury. He suffered a torn tricep during the 2024 30-Man Royal Rumble. He recently underwent surgery. CM Punk was also spotted at this past weekend’s UFC 298 Event. He did not stop there as he showed up after Raw went off-air and addressed the crowd. Punk also assured that the next time WWE was in Anaheim, he would be present and will wrestle that night.

“It is not easy sitting backstage, watching the show, knowing that Anaheim showed up 11,000 strong. And you all have been hot. All night long! Three hours. Countless superstars, awesome matches. I had to come out here and feel this myself. And to let you all know, this [his torn tricep] is a bump in the road. And I promise you that the next time we are in Anaheim, I will be here and I will have my boots on,” CM Punk said.

CM Punk provides an update on his injury

Recently, Punk addressed his tricep injury during a post-show interview following the UFC 298 event.

“Fingers crossed, yeah, I was going to headline WrestleMania,” CM Punk said. “Obviously, now I’m not. But, you know, it’s sports. It’s what happens to athletes. Mentally, I think it’s harder because the physical pain is whatever. But I look at it just like a bump in the road. This is an occupational hazard. It happens and I’ll be back bigger and better. I’m a clumsy idiot. I tore my left triceps about two years ago, so the right one was jealous. I’m like an old cobbler. car. I’m like a 72 Nova, you know what I mean?

“We have to change some parts every now and again. So once we fix up all the parts, the engine’s still strong, we’ll still be good to go. We’re thinking maybe six to eight months, but I’m not really in a rush to get back to compete. I’m in a rush to get healthy. I’m in a rush to get better. The sooner I do that, the better I’ll be when I come back.” [H/T Fightful.com]
