Last night on the Raw after WrestleMania, ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso won a Fatal-four-way match to become the number one contender for Damian Priest‘s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Following his win, Jackie Redmond caught up with Jey Uso to get some of his thoughts about earning a chance to win his first singles championship ever.
“God Damn Jackie O! That sounds good. Man, we wrapping up WrestleMania week with a big W Jackie O.”
Mr. Main Event also mentioned that he feels happy and proud as all his hard work seems to be paying off.
“Man! I’m on fire, I’m happy, I’m ecstatic. You know what I’m saying? Proud. Hard work is paying off Jackie O.”
Why did CM Punk help Jey Uso?
Main Event Jey Uso managed to pin the Scottish Warrior thanks to some help from the Second City Saint CM Punk. Uso joked that the reason CM Punk showed up was just to tie the shoelaces of Drew McIntyre to ensure he doesn’t trip and fall.
“Squad up! You know why? It’s because we got ice cream together Uce. That’s why. We were watching hockey together Uce. He was like, ‘Hold up man. My boy Jey out there, ain’t got a… he got a little hit. Drew McIntyre stay tripping. Imma tie his shoes for him.’ What he do? CM Punk gave me the assist. Pass it off to me, grab it, slam dunk, boomed on Drew. Boomed on him Uce. Jacki O, now talk to him.”
Jey Uso’s ribs are doing fine and is ready to take on Priest.
“The ribs is ok. At a scale from one to ten, I’m kind of like at a 8.5 right now. 8.5. But Ey man, shoutout to that boy Damian Priest man. The Judgment Day. My eye’s been on you Uce. I know I have to bring my A-Game to you, I know you are about that game Uce. I ain’t gonna take you lightly. But guess what, Jey Uso now, is in your city and now after your title,” Jey Uso said.
