Erick Rowan was unable to make a scheduled appearance at an independent show due to new contractual obligations.
In a post on their Facebook page, East Coast Pro Wrestling announced that Erick Rowan would be unable to make his scheduled appearance at the following week’s show. The announcement noted that, per Rowan, “new contractual obligations” were preventing him from making several dates, including ECPW.
There is no official word on what this may mean. Rowan previously had a memorable run in WWE as a member of the Wyatt Family. He was also one-half of the Bludgeon Brothers. WWE released Rowan in a wave of cuts in 2020. He made a one-off return on the August 25, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown, which honored Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) following his passing.
Rowan has also made some appearances for AEW, and he has been somewhat active on the independent scene.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
