Nikki Bella and Brie Bella didn’t actually like ‘twin magic’ at first.
The pair appeared on Threads with McKenzie Mitchell where they spoke about a variety of looks they had throughout their career. The duo, now going as the Garcia Twins, said they didn’t actually like being the ‘Bella Twins’ at first because it meant they had to dress alike.
Nikki revealed that, despite being twins, the pair are very different people. This caused big disagreements when they were forced to essentially be the same person in the WWE.
“It was hard. It actually caused a lot of disagreements between us because, actually being identical twins, we couldn’t be more different. And so, getting on the same page in your young 20s, she would be like, ‘Ew, I don’t want to wear that,’ I’d be like, ‘Well, ew, I don’t want to wear that.’ And then we would always be so cringed out on talking like when people thought Twins were like that, and then when they started to make us do that in pre-tapes, we were like, ‘Wait, what? What?’ It was like we just were like, ‘Ew, we hated it.'”
Brie Bella Didn’t Like Her Gear For Stephanie McMahon Match
One of Brie Bella’s biggest matches was against Stephanie McMahon at Summerslam 2014. However, she did not like her gear for that match.
“Actually, when I wrestled Stephanie McMahon. I actually never got that set of gear. It wasn’t finished like my kick pads never got finished. The concept was good because she was big boss and I was going to be all done up to look like, you know, Daniel Bryan’s wife. But to look more humble, you know? More look like the underdog from a fight. And then when I saw it come to life, I was like, ‘What is this?'”
