Penta is one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE right now. As Michael Cole often says, the Luchador has taken WWE by storm. During his run in Lucha Underground, he wrestled in an inter-gender wrestling match against Chelsea Green.
Now, after several years, the two are finally working in the same wrestling promotion. Recently, during an interview ahead of WrestleMania, Penta was asked about potentially wrestling the current WWE Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green, in WWE. Penta mentioned that he loved working with Green and is ready to work with her in WWE too.
“For me, it’s okay. No, no, true, Chelsea [Green] is the best. Best wrestler. I love working with her because sometimes I remember that match. Chelsea Green now [has] become a big, big Superstar. She is amazing in the ring. She is amazing outside the ring. I love working with her man. I hope soon. I am ready. I think she is ready. Let’s go.”
During the same interview, Penta shared his experience working in Lucha Underground. Penta mentioned that working there has helped and groomed to now be able to wrestling in WWE.
“Lucha Underground was one… The best process for my career now. Because when I started in Lucha Underground, [it] was very different for me because it’s different style. Different people, different crowd. Normally in Mexico it’s different when I arrived to Lucha Underground. But the process now, can I turn around back, it’s like I know why it happened, everything in LKucha Undergoround. Because now, I’m here in the best company in the world,” Penta said.
