Solo Sikoa Reveals A Surprising Fact About Himself

Solo Sikoa isn’t just the quiet one in his family.

Sikoa recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. During the conversation, Sikoa was asked what the biggest benefit of being involved in the Bloodline storyline has been. Solo, the current WWE United States Champion, said that people criticized him for being the “quiet one” during Roman Reigns’ past feuds.

However, he said he was listening and learning from the other members of the Bloodline. His answer about being the “quiet one” also informed one of his other answers. When asked to name something that people would be surprised to learn about him, Solo revealed that he is the funniest one in his family, not his brothers.

“That I’m a funny guy. I really am. Funnier than all my brothers,” Solo said. “Everybody thinks Jimmy is, Jey is — I’m the funny one! Even though [I’m quieter on TV most of the time], I’m the funny one. Who would’ve thought? The quiet guy is the funny one.”

Did You Know? Bloodline edition

Here’s another fun fact about Solo — Did you know he was named after WWE Hall of Famer Yokozuna? Solo’s real name is Joseph Yokozuna Fatu. He told the New York Post that his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi (who is also Yokozuna’s cousin) gave him the name as a way to honor his family.

Solo Sikoa won the WWE United States Championship from Jacob Fatu at Night Of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in June. He successfully defended the title against Fatu in a steel cage match, and awaits his next challenger. It looks like Sami Zayn could be in the mix for that spot, however, as Zayn picked up a stunning win over the reigning champion on the August 8 episode of SmackDown.
