AEW Collision Holiday Bash Results:

This week’s episode of Collision kicks off with action in the Gold League of the Continental Classic as Jungle Jack Perry takes on Speedball Mike Bailey.

Continental Classic Gold League: Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Jungle Jack Perry

  • The finish of the match saw Jungle Jack Perry bite Speedball Mike Bailey’s foot before hitting him with the Olympic Slam to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Jungle Jack Perry

After the match, Luchasaurus comes out with a Santa hat and a big black sack of presents and gives a gift to Mike Bailey.

Grade: B+

I enjoyed this match, but a theme of this episode is going to be that I wish this show were live. There are a lot of surprising results on this show. If I weren’t required to know, I would avoid spoilers, but doing what I do makes it impossible. It kinda takes away from the shocking finish knowing it days ahead of time, but that’s probably just me.

Eddie Kingston vs. Nathan Cruz (w/ The Grizzled Young Veterans)

  • The finish of the match saw Eddie Kingston hit Nathan Cruz with a DDT to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Eddie Kingston

Grade: B-

I mean, it was fine? It was short and sweet, and there wasn’t much to it. I imagine this was just done to get Eddie Kingston on the show for the live crowd since they didn’t have room for him on the Wednesday show this week. At the end of the day, there’s nothing wrong with that.

A video package airs, recapping Continental Classic action from Wednesday’s show.

Alex Windsor answers Mercedes Moné’s open challenge for the Rev Pro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.

Rev Pro Undisputed British Women’s Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Alex Windsor

  • The finish of the match saw Alex Windsor catch Mercedes Moné with a roll-up to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: And NEW Rev Pro Undisputed British Women’s Champion, Alex Windsor!

After the match, in a very heartwarming moment, Windsor celebrated the victory with her son in the ring. Adorable!

Grade: B+

This was another shocking outcome that I doubt many would have seen coming if not for the spoilers being out there ahead of time. Sure, Mercedes lost to Red Velvet a couple of weeks ago, but dropping another title so quickly is certainly surprising. It will be interesting to see how The CEO will handle dropping all of her titles throughout 2026. I’m assuming the last one to go will be the TBS Championship. I believe Willow Nightingale will be the one to take the TBS Title away from Mercedes, but only time will tell.

A video package airs recapping MJF’s return on Dynamite, setting up the World Title four-way at Worlds End later this month.

Continental Classic Gold League: Kazuchika Okada vs. Kevin Knight

  • The finish of the match saw Kevin Knight reverse Kazuchika Okada’s Rainmaker with an inside cradle to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Kevin Knight

Grade: A

After the match, Speedball Mike Bailey celebrates with Knight in the ring as Don Callis looks on, stunned from the commentary table, as AEW Collision goes off the air.

AEW Collision Holiday Bash Review:

This was a very action-packed hour of Collision. There was no time for filler with four matches in a one-hour timeframe. As much as I enjoyed this show, I wish it had been live, as I think the impact would have been much bigger. I understand the logistics that make this impossible, but I really think it would have taken this episode to another level for me personally.

The rest of the show was very enjoyable, but the main event was special. Kazuchika Okada and Kevin Knight put on a tremendous match. Even though I knew the winner ahead of time, I was on the edge of my seat for this matchup.

As much as I enjoy JetSpeed as a tag team, I feel like the Continental Classic this year opened everyone’s eyes that both Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey should be singles stars for AEW in 2026. They had a great run as a team, but I think it’s time both talented performers get the opportunity to shine on their own.

This show was heading toward a B grade for me, but the main event was so special I had to bump the final score up a bit. Great stuff!

Grade: B+
