Rey Mysterio has addressed his daughter’s future in professional wrestling.
The WWE Universe has been speculating about Aalyah Mysterio’s wrestling future ever since she visited the WWE Performance Center with her father last year. Aalyah further fueled those rumors when she trained with Natalya at Dungeon 2.0.
Rey Mysterio said his daughter was always curious to experience the ring. He noted that she suffered a few bruises on her back and shoulders following the training session but enjoyed every moment inside the squared circle.
During a recent appearance on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed the next step in Aalyah Mysterio’s journey into the world of professional wrestling.
“So I said, ‘Okay, the next step would be, let’s see if you can go through a full week of training. And if you can do that and you like it afterwards, then maybe it’s something you might want to think about.’ I’m actually trying to get her out there pretty soon so she can just feel what it’s like to train every day,” Rey Mysterio said. “Wake up, work out all day, sleep, back, same thing, That’s insane. Like, I’ve thought about that and it scares me, but it also excites me.” [H/T f4wonline.com]
Aalyah is no stranger to WWE television. In 2020, she was involved in a short-lived storyline alongside her family, Seth Rollins, and Buddy Murphy. She also made a cameo during the Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio match at WrestleMania 39 in 2023.
