Our WWE NXT results for tonight include Lola Vice and Kendal Grey clashing to become the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, Jasper Troy taking on Keanu Carver with special guest referee Josh Briggs, Jaida Parker battling Kelani Jordan, tag team action when Los Americanos take on Birthright, Tatum Paxley and Blake Monroe to meet face-to-face, Mike Santana and OTM battling DarkState, and an NXT Championship match at Stand & Deliver contract signing. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

WWE NXT Results:
TNA World Champion Mike Santana and OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Saquon Shugars)
Nima gets isolated and worked over by DarkState. Price gets the tag and lands a flurry, leading to Santana, Nima, and Price beating down Lennox. Nima gets cut off again, leading to DarkState taking turns bashing him. After the break, Santana tags in and clears the ring. Rolling cutter by Santana. Santana lands a dive, followed by a frog splash. Lennox kicks out. DarkState hits their finish on Santana. OTM breaks up the pin. Santana Spins the Block on Shugars. OTM hits their finish on Shugars for the win.
Winner- Mike Santana and OTM
Grade: B-
Solid six-man match. Santana was over like Rover in front of his hometown crowd. TNA needs Santana, but it’s hard not to wonder what would happen if he were signed to WWE.
Los Americanos (Rayo and Bravo Americano) vs. Birthright (Stacks and Uriah Conners)
Rayo and Bravo are in control early. Bravo gets taken out by a lairat after getting distracted messing with Grace at ringside. Lexis King tries to get involved. Shiloh Hill chases King off. El Grande Americano appears and distracts the referee. Rayo gives Bravo a metal plate that he slides into his mask. Rayo nails Connors with a running headbutt for the win.
Winners and NEW Number One Contenders, Los Americanos!
Grade: C+
This one was weird on paper and even weirder in the ring. Aren’t both these teams heels? Does NXT have no face tag teams for Vanity Project to face? If not, why put the titles on them to begin with?
Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan
Jordan is in control early, working over Parker’s arm. Parker manages to land a tear drop in the corner. Jordan locks in an armbar. Parker escapes. Jordan lands a frog splash. Jordan goes up top. Parker cuts Jordan off and sends her flying with a suplex off the top. Hypnotiq by Parker! Parker finishes Jordan with a chokebomb.
Winner- Jaida Parker
Grade: C+
Fine TV match. Parker needed a win here.
Contract Signing
All four men argue, and this ends in a brawl.
Grade: C-
Contract signings are one of the worst tropes in pro wrestling.
Jasper Troy vs. Keanu Carver (With Special Guest Referee: Josh Briggs)
Carver and Troy tear into each other. Troy chokeslams Carver through the commentary desk. Briggs boots Troy in the face. Carver hits his finish and pins Troy.
Winner- Keanu Carver
After the match, Briggs takes out Carver.
Grade: C+
Why was Briggs here? This was a hat-on-a-hat situation.
NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contenders Match | Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey
Vice works over Grey. Grey fires up and floors Vice with a series of elbow strikes. German suplex by Grey. Grey locks in an arm bar. Vice counters with a submission of her own. Vice sends Grey out of the ring. Jacy Jayne and the rest of Fatal Influence walk down to ringside. Vice misses a hip attack and crashes into the ring steps. Another referee comes out. Grey dives off the top into a kick from Vice. Grey kicks out. Feint back elbow by Grey. Vice kicks out. Ankle lock by Grey. After a few counters Vice locks in a guillotine. Grey turns it into a Northern Lights suplex. Grey taps out to Vice as the referee counts Vice’s shoulders down.
Winner-… um… The fans?
After the match, the referees and everyone else argue. Shawn Michaels comes to the ring to try to sort this out.
Grade: B-
This match made no sense going into it, but it was a fun contest to watch. This writer is a fan of Grey, but the rush to put her in the Women’s title picture is just odd.
