Cody Rhodes has revealed that he has a list of podcast interviews that will never be released due to wrestlers getting too intoxicated during filming.
The American Nightmare currently hosts his own WWE Podcast Network series, What Do You Wanna Talk About?, in association with Fanatics. The show has featured guests such as LA Knight, Becky Lynch, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. The podcast, sponsored by Wheatley American Vodka, often sees Rhodes and his guests getting candid (and drunk) as they break down aspects of kayfabe.
During a recent appearance on The Nikki and Brie Show alongside Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes revealed that he has filmed episodes with Alexa Bliss, Big E, and another unnamed guest that will never be released due to how intoxicated the recordings became.
“I will apologize now. I’ve said this, so I’ll make no secret of it. I will apologize to Alexa Bliss, Big E, I’m not going to name the other one because she’ll go ham with it. But three of these episodes will never make it because of how deep those pours were.
“And it’s never my fault — I mean, it’s never their fault, it’s always my fault. I already have a lisp, so if you’re starting out like… ‘I got the best here!’ Like, when you’re starting out that way and then you watch it, like, ‘I thought I was okay…’ It’s rough,” he said.
Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso previously made headlines after walking into the WWE Fastlane 2023 post-show press conference visibly intoxicated. Rhodes later admitted he was heavily intoxicated, calling it one of his most memorable nights.
