The injury bug has struck another AEW star.
Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Kyle Fletcher has been sidelined, with the Protostar dealing with a meniscus injury he sustained during a tag team match on the March 28 episode of AEW Collision.
“The bad news kept coming, unfortunately. Kyle Fletcher sustained a meniscus injury that will sideline him for quite some time as well. We’re told there are additional injuries that he sustained as well that could rack up his time out of the ring,” the report noted.
Fletcher teamed up with fellow Don Callis Family member Mark Davis against The Rascalz on the March 28 episode of Collision. The AEW TNT Champion reportedly suffered the injury during the match, though his team still picked up the win.
Both Fletcher and Marq Quen were declared out of action on Collision last week, with the report confirming that Quen’s absence is also injury-related.
“With Quen, it was implied that he sustained a tear of some sort by an AEW source, with another claiming that he was going to miss some significant time. This was just as Private Party returned from over a one-year absence.”
Fletcher is still the TNT Champion at the time of writing. It remains to be seen whether AEW will announce the fate of the championship this Wednesday on Dynamite.
