Randy Orton says he’s doing better than indicated in a recent injury report.
Orton is dealing with a back injury that has plagued him for several years, according to a recent report by F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer. It was noted that Orton’s current absence from WWE television is related to a “significant” back injury.
Orton has not been seen on WWE TV since losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42, and Meltzer reasoned that the injury is why Orton didn’t win the match.
However, Randy Orton responded to Meltzer’s report, laughing it off before offering a reason for his continued absence.
“Lmao just milking it guys,” Orton wrote on Twitter/X. “[L]eave me alone I’m trying to enjoy my summer before I come back and take that #15.”
Despite Orton’s response, it remains to be seen when he will return to WWE programming.
Randy Orton’s post-match attack on Cody Rhodes hinted at their feud continuing
Cody Rhodes retained the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42, but he was attacked by Orton after the match. It seemed like the feud would continue. However, Orton has been off WWE TV, and Rhodes has moved on to a feud with Gunther.
Orton’s back issues have been well-documented, as the WWE commentary team even said he was dealing with a back injury at WrestleMania 42. Prior to that, Orton missed nearly two years of in-ring action because of a double fusion back surgery.
So, despite Orton addressing Meltzer’s claim about his WWE TV absence, he didn’t exactly deny the report either.
