Paige is having a lot of fun seeing one of Total Divas’ funniest references still making fans laugh in 2026.
One-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions recently reacted to the growing number of “Why did I lose my shoe?” signs showing up at WWE RAW and SmackDown events. The quote comes from one of the most memorable scenes in Total Divas.
During a trip to Mexico celebrating Nikki Bella’s engagement, Brie Bella fully entered what fans called “Brie Mode.” After a wild night out, a drunk Brie left a nightclub and realized she had lost one of her heels. While trying to find it, she repeatedly shouted, “Why did I lose my shoe?”
Moreover, while she uttered that line repeatedly, it seemed to blend into a rhythm. Paige also joined her and started tapping her feet on the floor to the beat as if they were rapping.

That scene became one of Total Divas’ most famous clips and has remained popular among hardcore WWE fans ever since.
Now, Paige shared her reaction on X and admitted she has enjoyed spotting the signs during WWE shows over the past few weeks. She loves that fans still remember and celebrate such a chaotic and funny moment.
“The amount of “why did I lose my shoe” signs at the raw and smackdowns we’ve seen have been so great btw love that it’s still a big thing after all these years. Cracks me up! Brieeee modeeee!” Paige tweeted.
Although the quote never fully disappeared online, it has become popular again recently because of Paige and Brie Bella’s WWE reunion storyline. Their reunion brought back memories for fans who remembered their chemistry both in WWE and on Total Divas. It also shows how much Total Divas influenced wrestling culture during the 2010s.
