AEW‘s Darby Allin is officially a married man, and his mother bodyslammed him onto thumbtacks at the ceremony!
As he announced earlier, former AEW World Champion Darby Allin tied the knot with his partner Sara Erickson on Saturday, July 27, 2026, a day before the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view. Allin had proposed to her from atop Mt. Everest last year. Pictures and videos from the ceremony have surfaced on social media from various sources, including Swerve Strickland.
Strickland posted a few clips from the chaotic ceremony on his Instagram stories, showing Darby Allin’s father getting a chop from Brody King.

Allin had his tattoos drawn onto his tuxedo, and another clip showed his mom bodyslamming him onto some thumbtacks on the floor. Allin also pranked his brother by giving him the hottest pepper before they walked out.
The honeymoon plans might have to wait as Darby Allin will be involved in a high-stakes 12-man steel cage match in the main event of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. He will be part of Team Briscoe, comprising Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, and Konosuke Takeshita. They will take on MJF and the Don Callis Family’s Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and Andrade El Ídolo. If Allin’s team wins, Mark Briscoe will get a shot at MJF’s AEW World Championship.
