Edge vs Randy Orton
Edge and Orton tie up and get broken up by the ref, then Edge works on Orton in the corner until Orton fights back and punches away at Edge. Orton follows with a clothesline and hits him with forearm shots to the chest, then slingshots Edge throat first into the bottom rope. Edge rolls outside and Orton follows him and rolls him back in, but walks into a big boot from Edge that knocks him out of the ring. Edge kicks Orton in the head and tries again, but Orton hits a scoop powerslam as we go to a commercial.
When we get back, Edge is in control and has Orton in a sleeperhold and Orton counters out with a side suplex. Both men struggle to get back up and Orton hits Edge first with a few clotheslines and follows it with another powerslam. Orton pounds at Edge on the apron and when the ref tells him to get Edge inside, Orton goes for a DDT on the ropes, but Edge counters and hits the Impaler DDT. Orton kicks out of a pin attempt and Edge sets up for a spear in the corner. Edge charges at Orton but gets punted in the head, and Orton sets up the RKO, but reverses out of that and goes for another spear, but Orton leapfrogs him and Edge gets hit with a falling backbreaker instead. Orton sets up for the RKO again but gets interrupted by Chris Jericho, who makes his way to ringside and is screaming at Orton. Jericho throws his jacket at Orton and this allows Edge to get up and hit Orton with the Edge-O-Matic, and steals a victory from Orton.
After the bell, Jericho hits a Codebreaker on Edge, and turns around into an RKO from Orton, who gets attacked from by Evan Bourne! Bourne kicks Orton in the head and goes up top for Air Bourne, but gets RKO’d on the way down in midair! (SICK SPOT!) Orton poses on the ropes and looks at the Superstars laying around the ring as they show multiple replays of the RKO on Bourne. Medical staff is out to check on Bourne in the ring, and Orton smirks briefly then walks up the ramp.
Winner – Edge
Backstage, Josh Mathews catches up with Skip Sheffield and he asks what their purpose will be on Nexus tomorrow, and asks if they will be after the rookies or the pros. Skip doesn’t say anything and just walks away, and bumps into John Morrison. He tells Morrison to watch where he is going, and asks Morrison if he thinks he is a hero. Nexus surrounds him so Morrison throws an elbow at Heath Slater then gets ganged up on by the rest of the group. Skip throws him into a door and then Slater kicks him and throws him into some production cases, then they stand over him like they did Yoshi earlier in the night.
