Why Foley Was Taken Off TNA TV, Goldust Bashes Black Reign

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the reason why TNA shot an angle taking Mick Foley off TNA TV is because the company was coming dangerously close to running out of dates he had left on his contract. When Foley signed with TNA, he signed for a certain amount of TV dates during the one year deal. TNA was using him on TV so often, however, that they were in danger of running out of dates they could use Foley before his year deal expired. It’s being said Ric Flair is in a similar situation with his deal right now.

WWE star Goldust recently posted the following on his Twitter page in response to fans asking him about the Black Reign character he played in TNA, which was voted by The Wrestling Observer as the worst gimmick of 2007: "Listen guys black reign sucked, keep it goldie," he wrote. He later added that he wants his fans to stop mentioning the character.
