FCW Live Event Results (5/6): FCW vs NXT Battle Royal

Notes About The Show:

Jamie Keyes was the ring announcer for the evening.

Matt Martlaro and Abraham Washington were tried as the TV announcers for this event.

Strong mic work from Donny Marlow & Jacob Novak as both cut their first promos (that I’ve seen) at the FCW arena.

George Murdoch, who had been working as “G-Rilla” was introduced tonight as “Portis Clay” (the spelling is just a guess).

Johnny Curtis and Aksana continued the modern day Gorgeous George gimmick this week with Aksana once again cleaning the ring, spraying down the ref and opponent, making the ref wear white gloves… but this time, as Curtis entered the arena, he showered himself with rose petals from a wine glass.

The FCW vs NXT battle royal was a longer than usual battle royal with lots of strong spots. Once again David Otunga & Daniel Bryan were not there (Bryan has never actually been featured on FCW’s online roster), so Curt Hawkins was added to the NXT team  “representing the NXT Pros”. Young & Barrett continued their feud with each other when, mid battle royal, Young attacked Barrett. The two eventually brawled until Young hurled himself into Barrett, sending both over the top rope to the floor. They continued to brawl all the way to the locker room.

More hardway blood tonight as Big E. Langston & Donny Marlow both bled from the mouth and Mason Ryan bled from a large cut on his left arm.

Roster talent noticeably absent from the show included Alberto Banderas (who continues to impress as Dos Caras on Raw live events), Caylen Croft, David Otunga, Jimmy & Jules Uso, Rudy Parker, Savannah, Serena, and Trent Baretta… Brett DiBiase, Cable Jones, Kaval, & Richie Steamboat are also out with injuries.

The newest roster additions, Devin Allen and Rhys Ali served on the production crew for the evening.
