Bobby Lashley Wins Strikeforce Debut Last Night In Florida

TNA Wrestling star Bobby Lashley debuted in the big leagues with a bang as he successfully kept his unbeaten streak in tact with a victory over UFC and Ultimate Fighter veteran Wes Sims in the opening bout of the Strikeforce: Miami card last night on Showtime.

Lashley dominated the match from the start, finishing Sims off with a technical knockout due to punches at 3:14 of the very first round.

With the victory, Lashley proclaimed to WrestleZone MMA sister-site Sherdog.com that he wants a title shot. The man he’ll need to get past to accomplish said-goal happens to be the consensus pound-for-pound and Heavyweight king of the sport: Fedor Emelianenko. Is the amateur wrestler-turned pro wrestling star Lashley ready for that level of competition? Will Strikeforce make that fight? Time will tell. Don’t forget to check out the Bobby Lashley post-fight interview.
