TNA House Show Results (1/27): Cardiff, Wales

Samoa Joe vs Daniels: I Quit Match. Daniels got loads of heel heat in this one. I was actually suprised that he didn’t get cheered because most of the heels had been cheered for by some up til this point. Joe got a superstar reaction in there. To be honest, dissapointing match. Basically just Joe and Daniels hitting some of their trademark stuff while Daniels really worked over the arm of Joe. Joe hitting the ole kick on the outside got a huge pop with the ole chants. Some people had no idea why people were singing ole. Funny. Daniels quit after the choke. Decent match but expect more from these two. 3/5

British Invasion vs Beer Money. The Brits came out first and I’m guessing that they have all split from the World Elite because they mentioned Terry’s win earlier and said their tired of baby-sitting him. They proceeded to sing the English national anthem and people went CRAZY mad! The English and Welsh have a HUGE rivalry dating back years so this cheap, heat tore the house down. Beer Money were over like headline guys. I’ve never heard people chant Beer and Money so much in my life. It went on at one point, for a full 5 minutes. Gota love it! Got to be honest, quite the boring match really. But good to see Beer Money live so I was happy. Beer Money took the win with DWI. 2/5

Main event: Desmonde Wolfe vs AJ Styles for the TNA Heayweight Championship of The World. After seeing Wolfe live for the first time I can say quite confidently, he is one of the best heels in the business. He was just AWESOME. When AJ came out, the arena atmosphere was amazing. It seemed like something special. In Cardiff, it looks like AJ is TNA’s answer to John Cena because he was so over with them. Desmonde took a lot in this match. Some really crisp technical stuff at the start. Wolfe continued to work Styles over and continually set up for the Tower of London. When Styles knocked him to the outside and hit a senton outside the ring, the place went just as crazy as for Terry earlier. The place came un-glued! Styles taking more of the match then went for a springboard 450 but Wolfe countered into the Tower of London for a two count. Went for it again, Styles countered into a Styles Clash to take the pin. Afterwards Styles grabbed the mic and did the worst wooo ever and thanked everyone and said he is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion and TNA is AJ Styles. People actually believed him. 3/5 rating.

To be honest after everything I’ve heard I was somewhat dissapointed with the match quality. It wasn’t bad by any means but I was expecting so much more. What they did give was enough though. The novelty of seeing these guys live for the 1st time(most anyway) was pretty cool. And Rob Terry winning the Global Title was quite the sight to see. All in all I’d definitely go again and I credit Bryan and Vinny for going because I remember a B&V show before talking about TNA house shows. "Just fucking go!" is what you guys said. I did. And it was awesome!
