Intermission of 15 minutes, during which the lucky few with backstage passes could go, well, backstage!
Just after the intermission and before the 5th match of the night, Dixie Carter came into the ring accompanied by a kid and said that she was really happy to be in the beautiful city of Paris, that it was the first time ever for TNA but not the last! (I’m so there when they come back!)
Match # 5: Rhino vs Hernandez
Is it just me or do these guys are huge? Seriously, if I were a guy, I wouldn’t want to mess with any of them! Here again, you couldn’t tell who would win and both wrestlers got cheered. You could hear “let’s go Rhino” and “let’s go Hernandez” chants, and even “ECDub” chants for Rhino! That was pretty funny! SuperMex won after a diving splash. He got cheered when he left the ring and so was Rhino which I thought was pretty cool.
Match # 6: British Invasion vs Team 3D
BI got booed like crazy, and when I saw Brutus Magnus grabbing a mic, I decided to record what he had to say and it was priceless! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q4YakqLQhk Here’s what he said in French : “shut the fuck up (yeah, not just shut up!)! We are Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams, the British Invasion. Ladies and gentlemen, stand up for the British anthem! (which of course no one did!).” They started singing off tune but got interrupted by Team 3D! Ray was carrying a chair and threw it in the ring! Huge pop and “ECDub chants” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YtWju5K-yE What the French announcer says in th vid is that Ray is pretty sure people don’t want to see a regular match and “we want tables” chants could be heard! So the match was now a tables match. They actually fooled us as it was a regular match! The match started but BI got out of the ring and pretended to make their way out. Ray and Devon grabbed them and started fighting outside of the ring. They then got back in the ring and the action continued. During the whole match, we were waiting for the tables but nope! Nothing! Team 3D went for the Whassup on Magnus and then they finally brought the table! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0OTSPQvLLU They gave a kid a piece of the broken table, the stupid thing is that the poor kid got booed! I don’t really remember if Team 3D asked for applause instead of boos but the kid got cheered afterwards! People are mean sometimes! The funny thing is that Devon was given a sign on which you could read “WWE sucks” and people apparently agreed.
