Randy Orton vs John Cena vs Kofi Kingston

Number One Contendership Match

They all start trading punches until Cena and Kofi start double-teaming Orton.  They take turns on him until he rolls out of the ring to try and get away.  Cena follows him though and throws him back in the ring.  They hit a double clothesline and continue taking turns.  Kofi throws Orton out of the ring and turns his attention to Cena.  As they circle each other, we see Sheamus come out to the top of the entrance ramp.  The two of them turn to face him and that allows Orton the chance to attack from behind.  We cut to break as Sheamus looks on and Orton takes over the offense.

When we get back, Orton has a headlock applied on Kingston and Cena is on the outside.  Cena was ran into the stairs head first during the break along with being launched into the announce table.  Kofi rises to his feet and tries to gain control, but Orton hits him again.  Cena tries to get in the ring, but Orton catches him first and nails the delayed DDT.  This gives Kingston time to hit a crossbody off the top rope.  Cover and a kick out by Orton.  Kingston fires with some punches in the corner and tries to whip him to the other side.  Orton counters, but Kofi leaps off the second turnbuckle and hits an elbow.  It doesn’t last long and Orton regains the advantage.

Cena then comes in and tries to get back into it.  He charges Orton in the corner but goes shoulder first into the steel post.  Kofi then hits the Boom Drop on Orton and Cena applies the STF on Kingston.  Orton finally breaks it up and throws Cena off the ropes, but Cena hits the shoulder blocks, the side slam and the Five Knuckle Shuffle.  Orton gets to his feet and Cena puts him on his shoulders, but Kofi gets the save.  He hits Cena with a dropkick and a clothesline.  He hits the Boom Drop on Cena.  He sets up for the Trouble In Paradise and connects.  Cena rolls to the outside of the ring.  Orton’s in the corner and Kofi goes and lands some punches.  All of a sudden, Cody Rhodes is out there and kicks the steel steps into Cena.  He then distracts the ref so DiBiase can come attack Kingston from behind in the ring.  Orton then sets up the RKO and nails it.  Pin and the three count as Randy Orton moves on to face Sheamus for the title at the Royal Rumble.

WINNER: Randy Orton
