Fatal Four Way World Heavyweight Title Match: The Undertaker (c) vs Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk vs Batista: Obviously WWE needed to run Batista heel turn at the end of the match because this bout had little to no hype around it heading into the PPV. It was completely overshadowed by the Iron Man Match and the 14 man tag match, so it made sense for WWE to add a bit of excitement to the bout by having Batista turn on Rey. I think it’s a great idea to turn Batista completely heel, as he is a top guy who is need of a character makeover, and a heel program with Rey could be fun. My only problem with the turn last night was the way WWE used Josh Matthews. When is the last time an announcer entered the ring immediately after a match to interview the losing side? As soon as that happened and I noticed Rey and Batista still in the ring, it seemed to me like something more than just a post-match interview was going to happen. Rey and Batista should have done the segment on their own. That said, however, the match itself was a great 10 minutes of action. It was fast-paced, and convinced me that any one of the competitors could win the title at any point. I was confident that The Undertaker would win heading into the match as WWE isn’t going to make The Dead Man out to be a lame duck champion, but all the wrestlers involved had a good showing. 7 Stars.
