After that was a match where Kane virtually squashed Matt Hardy. Kane was surprisingly popular in Bristol but Matt’s reception nearly blew the roof off. This was a pretty short match.
A Six-Man Tag match was next with Tommy Dreamer, Christian, and The Hurricane defeating William Regal, Ezekial, and Vladimir Kozlov. Hurricane was extremely popular and people chanted his name for much of the match. I’ve been to many live events and haven’t missed an episode of WWE wrestling in over thirteen years and I’ve gotta say that Regal is one of the best entertainers I’ve ever seen in (and out of) the ring. He makes the crowd absolutely love to hate him and that takes a lot of pure talent and charisma.
As I said towards the beginning, the main event featured Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk. Pretty straightforward match.
Overall this was a very good show and the crowd was really hot during the entire event. I’m looking forward to the RAW event in November in nearby Johnson City. Thanks for allowing me to contribute this.
