-John Cena is shown walking to the ring backstage. His singles match with Cody Rhodes is up next after the commercial break.

-Highlights are shown of Randy Orton RKO’ing Dusty Rhodes in front of Cody last week on RAW.

-A bunch of Chicago White Sox baseball players are shown in attendance.

Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena

Rhodes has a microphone. He says first and foremost he is a member of Legacy. He says that doesn’t mean he agrees with what Orton did to his father. He says Dusty Rhodes didn’t make him a main-eventer – Randy Orton did. Cody says he could lie and tell us Dusty missed birthdays and was a bad father, but the truth is Dusty is an excellent father. He says it wasn’t his choice – family or career. He says when HBK or HHH submit this Sunday we’ll see he made the right choice – career. He says as a favor to Orton, he’s going to make John Cena tap out right now. Cena’s music hits and out he comes. Cody tries to DDT Cena early but Cena lifts Rhodes up and throws him down face-first. We head to a mid-match commercial. We return from commercial and Cena is in the middle of suplexing Rhodes. Cena hits a running bulldog and tries a pin, but Rhodes kicks out. On the floor, Rhodes trips Cena face-first into one of the announce tables. Back in the ring, Rhodes is putting the boots to Cena. Rhodes with some kind of camel-clutch type submission move on Cena. He’s trying to make good on his promise to tap Cena out. Cena fights his way out. Rhodes manages to secure an armbar on Cena now. Cena stands up, still in the armbar, with Rhodes across his shoulders. Cena trying for the Attitude Adjustment but Rhodes slides off. Cena tries a leg-drop off the top rope but Rhodes moves. Rhodes applies the figure-four leglock on Cena. Cena reverses Rhodes into the STF. Orton runs in to make the save. Cena scares him back out of the ring. Rhodes tries to attack from behind but Cena gets him up for the Attitude Adjustment. He looks at Orton and hits Rhodes with it. They stare each other down to end the segment/match.
