AT RANDOM: Chris Cash Looks At Last Night’s Impact!

Chris Cash’s Actual Serious Final Thought:

Good show.  There wasn’t a ton of backlash from Sacrifice.  Rather, they went straight into building for Slammiversary and the "King of the Mountain" match.  I can’t really blame them for that either and it seems to have good possibilities at this point.  It should make for good television leading up to the pay per view as well.

Returns:  I like Victoria and think she can definitely add to the Knockouts.  They have been struggling lately outside of the development of the Beautiful People (which I think they’ve done…well, beautifully) and Victoria is a good worker.  She was unhappy with WWE and you can’t blame her.  TNA is the real home for women these days and I’m happy to see her there.

I’m mixed on Raven.  As you know, he wrote for WZ there for a while and I thoroughly like the guy.  I don’t think you’re going to see him do much in TNA outside of the Stevie/Abyss stuff anytime real soon.  Maybe he’ll be the missing element that makes those bits enjoyable.  I doubt it, but we’ll see.

And Shane Douglas.  This came as bit of a surprise to me, although it shouldn’t have.  The grocery business was only going to last so long before he started getting that "itch" again.  Either way, I’m definitely interested in seeing what they do with him.

It seemed like the silliness that TNA is commonly known for wasn’t as noticeable last night.  It seemed like a pretty straight-forward, meaningful show.  And that’s great!  I can handle a few cheesy, gimmicky things a night, so overall, I enjoyed Impact! this week and hope TNA keeps it up, although I’m sure they won’t.
