Robert Roode Contract Update, Christopher Daniels/Suicide Gimmick

– Christopher Daniels has indeed taken over the Suicide gimmick, reports WrestlingObserver.com, due to Frankie Kazarian's injury.  There is no word at this point on whether Kazarian will take back over the character once he returns.  My guess is that he will so Daniels can come back apart of the Frontline group…if they still have that going on by then.

– Robert Roode's contract has been renewed as we reported here on the site this week.  It's a five-year deal as apparently TNA is hoping to lock more longterm deals in the future.  Roode said the following during an interview with The Peterborough Examiner, a Canadian newspaper:

"My contract is put away and I've re-signed for five years with TNA," Roode said,  "I'm very happy about it. They wanted to sign me to a long-term deal. Most contracts are one to three years, but they wanted to keep me around for five. I'm quite pleased."

Roode did mention that there was interest from the WWE, but ultimately, he decided to stay with the company that gave him a chance over four years ago.
