Shiozaki loses match but not World Title in Melbourne

Tyler Black was unable to appear in Melbourne last night due to a strange set of occurrences that left him stuck in Atlantaâ<80><99>s Hartsfield Airport for much of Friday afternoon and evening. It seems Tyler received a phone call yesterday morning informing him of a weather related delay in his scheduled flight from Moline, Illinois due to sever weather that had pounded the Midwest. When Tyler arrived at the airport he found that his flight had in fact left at itâ<80><99>s scheduled time, and he was stuck scrambling for a new flight into Florida. He was able to get a flight to Atlanta but unable to get on board a connecting flight to Orlando in time to make it for his scheduled FIP World Title Match vs. Go Shiozaki.

When news of Tylerâ<80><99>s inability to appear for his scheduled match Heartbreak Enterprisesâ<80><99> Sean Davis declared a night off for his champion Go Shiozaki, however FIP officials thought otherwise. Shiozaki was ordered to defend his title in a 3 way match against the last 2 men to wear that title Erick Stevens and Roderick Strong. It was a hard hitting matchup that saw all 3 men brutalize one another, and just as it seemed the FIP title was about to slip through the grasp of Heartbreak Enterprises, Head of Security Phil Davis interrupted the referees count causing Shiozaki to be disqualified.

Unfortunately, due to Sean Davisâ<80><99> changing of the FIP Title Match rules last week, the title may no longer change hands on a countout or disqualification, and Shiozaki retains the FIP Title.

Tyler Black is still the #1 contender and will get his title match TONIGHT in Crystal River, much to the dismay of Sean Davis who said, â<80><9c>Tyler Black had his chance and he blew it. Couldnâ<80><99>t even be bothered to show up for his one and only chance at the World Title, well if he thinks heâ<80><99>s getting a shot at this belt tomorrow he is sadly mistaken.

Shocking announcement of Tag Team Title Match tonight in Crystal River!

Based upon their performance tonight in Melbourne, FIP officials have awarded the open contract for the FIP Tag Team Title match in Crystal River to Erick Stevens and Roderick Strong.

When reached for comment in the locker-room after the show, both Stevens and Strong had little to say on the subject. Stevens only mustering a, â<80><9c>You have got to be kidding me right?â<80> with Strong issuing no comment whatsoever.

Nonetheless these two will face FIP Tag Team Champions Kenny King and Jason Blade of the YRR in Crystal River with the gold on the line.
