Torrie’s WWE Return Confirmed, Major Bobby Lashley News

WWE is advertising that Torrie Wilson will appear at the RAW house show in Boise, Idaho on June 14th. Torrie is from Boise. This seems to confirm that Torrie did not leave WWE with any hard feelings.

As reported yesterday, former WWE star Bobby Lashley confirmed his signing with the Kentucky-based American Fight League MMA promotion at the company’s event last night in Atlanta. Lashley cut a promo in front of the live audience about wanting to fight and be the best. AFL is scheduled to run the Philips Arena in October for a PPV marking Lashley’s debut. We don’t have much details about this scheduled PPV event considering this promotion is no where near on the level of MMA companies such as the UFC, WEC, EliteXC, Strikeforce, DREAM or Affliction. His opponent has yet to be announced.

The New York Times has an article looking at Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his role as both a boxer and entertainer. The article looks at his recent involvement at WrestleMania 24, including a backstage photo with Shane McMahon just minutes before his match with the Big Show, and how boxers such as Tyson, Ali, Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey and others have had “some harmless profitable fun appearing in pro wrestling shows.”

Ric Flair is scheduled to be appearing next Saturday in Atlanta at the Phillips Arena for the NWA and will be inducted by Jim Cornette into the NWA Hall of Fame. The event is being pushed as the 60th anniversary of the NWA, although the National wrestling Alliance was used as a name for the World Title out of Kansas City and its national origins date back to a promoters meeting in Waterloo, Iowa in 1948.
