With the positive earnings report, WWE got some credit for their financial work as shares went up to over 7% today, trading at 16.40 at time of this writing. The biggest mover was consumer products, where WWE had an increase of 47% over the same period last year, thanks to strong sales of video games, DVDs, magazines etc. Trading also hit the 16.93 mark during the day and although high, it’s still not close to their 52 week high of 18.60. Shares for the company closed at 15.31 yesterday. (Thanks to Colin Vassallo)

Although John Cena is friendly with virtually everyone in the locker room and the wrestlers respect his work ethic, he is also considered a “kiss ass” by some. Cena hangs out with Vince McMahon, something not uncommon for the company’s #1 babyface. One wrestler said, “Cena is definitely Vinceâ<80><99>s boy and thatâ<80><99>s why Triple H doesnâ<80><99>t even try to f— with him”. While Cena is viewed as a company man, Randy Orton is viewed as someone who will stand up to management.

Following the news today that the Fayette County Sheriffâ<80><99>s Office has closed its investigation into the Benoit family tragedy, the Atlanta Journal Constituion newspaper is reporting that both Chris and Nancyâ<80><99>s families are considering wrongful death lawsuits against WWE.

The TNA iMPACT replay on February 9th did a 0.57 cable rating.
