Impact Wrestling Results (9/1) – New KO Champ, Sting/Angle Title Rematch

Hulk Hogan comes out to the ring first, and he takes a sign from a fan before getting in the ring and saying the power of Immortal is running wild. He says the network is standing behind Ric Flair's offer to face Sting, and it will happen on September 15th, and if Sting loses it is his last match. He says if Sting gets lucky and wins, he gets to face Hogan because that is all Sting has wanted for ten years. Hogan says he can also make decisions on the spot, and he is tired of being bullied, so it's time that the network gets bullied and he will face Sting when he is ready.

Kurt Angle's music plays and he makes his way to the ring for Hogan to apologize for Dixie Carter's manipulation of him. Hogan says she can't run the company because it was a sick place, and he is going to clean this place up, but he needs to get rid of a little bit of bacteria first. Hogan says he wants Angle to drag Sting down to the ring and cut the cancer out of the company so they could get rid of Dixie's friends. Angle says he will do it because his enemies are Hogan's enemies, and he will play by the rules. If Sting wins he will become the champion, but if Angle wins he can guarantee that Sting will not leave under his own power.

Sting comes out to confront him and Hogan tells him that no one wants him out there, but Sting says he is honored that Angle wants to take him out. He says it makes him think that Angle likes him, and Sting likes him too so he will tell him now that he is all in tonight. He will face Angle tonight and it starts there, then moves on to Flair, and finally onto the grand prize which is Hogan. He will make Hogan's power vanish, and he will make it go away in a cloud of smoke. He goes to leave but Hogan tells them to cut the music and asks who the hell he thinks he is? He says Sting must have a trick, but he is feeling good so he will be the enforcer in the match, then tells production to hit his music.
