More Random Notes From Inside The Arena:
-And folks, just when you thought the fans inside the world-famous MSG arena couldn’t get any louder, out comes The Brahma Bull. The pop for The Rock was out of this world, on par, if not exceeding CM Punk’s pops in the previous match. The crowd crapped all over John Cena at an equally boisterous volume. When the match began and The Rock actually started working in the ring for the first time in seven years in an actual match, the roof almost came off the freakin’ building. Literally. The Rock still has it, ladies and gentlemen. The man still has it. And the crowd appreciates it. When Cena comes in, they immediately jump on him with “You can’t wrestle” chants. Cena works his ass off, does some cool moves and actually looks pretty good, work-rate wise. How does the respectful and appreciative fans at MSG respond? “You still suck” chants loud enough to make a person go deaf. How can you not love a Madison Square Garden crowd? For the love of god they are so awesome. Crowd hasn’t cooled off a bit since the moment this match began. They’re letting The Miz and R-Truth get some serious heat on Cena, building up what might be a record-breaking “hot-tag” to Rock later on in this contest. And several minutes later Rock finally gets the hot tag. He’s a ball of energy and he’s on fire. The crowd is going “bonkers” once again. Rock hits the sidewalk slam, leading into “The People’s Elbow” and the crowd was as hot for that as you’d expect. 1-2-3, the crowd explodes again. How many people fit into MSG? Let’s just say 15-20,000 for the following point. After the last two matches, according to Nicky P. and the rest of the fellas from WrestleZone in the building, there’s about 15-20,000 fans that are horse, aka lost their voice, after tonight.
We ain’t done yet folks, Nicky P. and the boys will be chiming in here soon with any post-show notes and possibly some more exclusive photos and other special content, just for you, the WrestleZone fans. Stick around, we’ve got more comin’!
Okay, The Rock is cutting a post-show promo in the building right now ….more on page 11!
