Impact Wrestling Results (12/1) – New #1 Contenders For Crimson & Morgan, Roode Meets His “Consequences”

When we return, AJ and Roode are slugging it out, but AJ gets whipped into Hardy on the apron then Roode slams him down and gets a two count. Roode goes after Hardy in the corner and stomps him, then turns his attention back to AJ but Hardy turns him around and lays into him in the corner. AJ and Hardy take turns hitting Hardy, but Roode rakes Hardy's eyes and slaps AJ and gets them to attack each other while he rolls out of the ring. AJ hits a dropkick off the ropes then pulls Hardy up for a suplex, but he counters and hits a side Russian legsweep and gets a two count, but AJ comes back with a bicycle kick.

Roode slides in and throws AJ shoulder first into the ringpost, then repeatedly stomps Hardy and hits an elbow drop for two and follows it by slamming his head into the turnbuckle. He whips Hardy off the ropes and hits him with an elbow, then dropkicks AJ off the apron and punches Hardy in the corner. Hardy fights back with some punches but Roode hits a spinebuster as AJ tries to get back in, then Roode sets up for a DDT on Hardy but AJ tackles him from the top turnbuckle. He knocks Roode down a few times then hits a springboard inverted DDT and goes for a Styles Clash, but Roode counters it and shoves Hardy into the ropes as AJ tries a springboard move.

Roode throws Hardy out of the ring but he comes back in and catches Roode off guard with a Twist of Fate, then he goes up top but Jeff Jarrett runs out and shoves him off the top turnbuckle. Roode rolls over and makes the cover and AJ tries to break up the pin, but the ref counts to three and Roode gets the win, but Sting comes out to break up Jarrett and Roode's celebration. Sting says Jarrett and Hardy will be in a cage match at Final Resolution, and if Jarrett wins he will get his wish and Hardy will leave the company. He continues by saying if Hardy wins, Jarrett's nightmare will continue because Hardy will be the number one contender. Karen Jarrett runs out and asks what he is doing, and Sting says just to make sure things stick to plan, he will be handcuffed to Karen at ringside during the match. He tells them ta-ta for now and leaves as the Jarretts flip out on the entrance ramp as Impact comes to a close.
