Winner – Curtis Axel

Postmatch, Heyman enters the ring and says he stands there in agony, and it's all because of the actions of CM Punk. He says the fans will choke on the cheers for Punk because he isn't talking about obvious, physical pain, but the emotions he's feeling right now. Heyman says he made Punk the best in the world, but now he's a loser who lost at Summerslam, and now he's on a downward sprial. Heyman says Punk never stood a chance without him, and Punk is lost but Axel is on the right path, and he just keeps winning. He says no one can beat Axel for the Intercontinental Championship, then Axel says the problem is that Punk doesn't deserve a title match. Axel says Punk assaulted him with a chair, but he will finish the job that Brock Lesnar started at Summerslam. He challenges Punk to a match on RAW, then he says his future is better than Punk's, because he is more athletic, and he has the better man in his corner, Paul Heyman.
