Update: WWE’s Plans For Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards, Tag Team Bound?

file_184959_4_Davey_Richards_1Rob Feinstein of RF Video, and someone who works closely with a lot of indy promotions and talent due to his video production business, recently posted on Facebook that he knows WWE's current plans for Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards.

First, Feinstein stated that the two have NOT actually signed with the company, and are simply working NXT while still fulfilling prior dates outside of the company.

According to Rob, WWE wants to keep Edwards and Richards together as a tag team for a few more months in NXT and then call them up to Smackdown, continuing together. The intent would be to see how they get over as a team on television.

Feinstein added that William Regal and Joey Matthews were the two pushing Triple H to give them another chance. WrestleZone had a recent report citing Regal as one of the individuals fighting for the duo's return to WWE.

Davey Richards tweeted the following after their match at the NXT tapings this week. Richards and Edwards debuted as "The American Wolves".

"@ringofhonor our time may possibly be coming to end. In my heart I will always and proudly be an "ROH GUY". I'm forever in debt to you."

While this would seem to indicate that Richards and Edwards have a pretty good opportunity to make it on the main roster, and relatively soon, Feinstein did mention that Vince McMahon is not too high on signing (or pushing) any more "top indy" guys. Vince feels they are "too hard to transform" and that he already has enough of them, according to Feinstein.
