VIDEO: Royal Rumble Kickoff Preview – Rhodes Brothers vs New Age Outlaws, Plus Details on WZ’s Around the Clock Royal Rumble Coverage

Royal Rumble Kickoff Preview

Cody Rhodes and Goldust will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships this Sunday against the New Age Outlaws, BG James and Billy Gunn. There have been several recent reports speculating this match would not take place on the actual PPV show, and WWE confirmed those reports yesterday.

WWE posted a preview video yesterday (seen below) promoting the Royal Rumble Kickoff show which features the tag team title match. The pre-show starts at 7:30ET/4:30PT and will stream live on WWE.com, the WWE App, Facebook, YouTube, Samsung Smart TV's, and Google Plus.

Yesterday, we reported that WWE officials originally considered holding the title match on Smackdown last week. However, the decision was made to add it to the PPV pre-show.

Both Cody Rhodes and Goldust are listed as Royal Rumble participants; the New Age Outlaws are not listed, nor are they expected to be in the match. There have been many reports speculating the Rhodes brothers will drop the titles to The Outlaws, have some sort of conflict in the Rumble, and begin an angle with each other that sets up a one-on-one, brother versus brother match at WrestleMania 30.

While the plan certainly seems to be Cody vs Goldust at WrestleMania, it is worth noting that merchandise sales for "The Brotherhood" t-shirts have been doing very well. It could always be decided that Cody and Goldust should remain as partners a little longer before an eventual split and possible feud takes place.

We'd love to hear your thoughts on the WWE Royal Rumble Kickoff match. Who do you think will win the match between the Rhodes brothers and the New Age Outlaws this Sunday? Leave your picks below in the comments section or tweet us @WRESTLEZONEcom

NOTE: WrestleZone will have a full day of Royal Rumble coverage this Sunday. A complete rundown of our exclusive events that day will be posted on WrestleZone a bit later, so keep an eye out for that
