RVD Making Return to WWE Before SummerSlam, More Backstage Details on the Batista Heel Turn, Original Plans

RVD's WWE Return

The following has been posted on Twitter, and RVD reveals that he will be back in WWE prior to SummerSlam this year:

More Backstage Details on Batista's Heel Turn

As seen on Smackdown this past Friday night, Batista made his official heel turn when he cut a promo revealing how he really feels about the WWE Universe.

According to PWInsider.com, Batista's heel turn was actually supposed to take place on Raw last week, but the segment ended up being scaled back quite a bit and the actual heel turn was saved for Smackdown.

The plan was to have Orton interrupt Batista on Raw, as he did, and cost him his match against Alberto Del Rio. Orton would then go on to talk about how much the fans like him more than they do Batista, and that would end up being Batista's breaking point, at which time he would go off on the WWE Universe. Orton would then be credited with "Unleashing the Beast."

Of course the "unleashing" did not happen on Raw, and following the show WWE even toyed with the idea of having Batista slowly turn heel in segments over the course of the next fews weeks, but likely due to the reaction he has been getting from the live crowds, WWE pulled the trigger on the heel turn Friday night.
