Bo Dallas tells the new NXT Champion Adrian Neville that he's out of his league, and gets slapped in the face.
Bo Dallas vs. Collin Cassidy
The fans are squarely behind Collin Cassidy, who is making his return here tonight. Collin wins the lock-up and takes down Bo, who leaps to the outside and takes a minute to collect himself. Upon reentry, Dallas runs into a big shoulder and the the momentum sends him out of the ring, as we head to a short commercial break.
Cass tries to pull Bo back into the ring by his hair, but gets dropped neck-first over the ropes. Fans are chanting "No More Bo" and all kinds of other shenanigans. Dallas locks in a side headlock and holds it for a few minutes. Collin builds some momentum and breaks out of the hold, but runs into a big shoulder for a two-count.
The fans start chanting "Boring!" during another rest hold, and Bo thinks they are chanting "Bo's Ring". Cassady counters an Irish whip and sends the former champ crashing into the corner; both men down. They start trading right hands and Big Cass gets a running high knee. He does his "S-A-W-F-T" chant and hits a shot to the back, followed by a massive big boot for a close two-count.
Bo Dallas hits a DDT out of nowhere for the 1-2-3.
Winner: Bo Dallas
Mike's Thoughts: Well, at least they tried to have one decent match tonight, although they didn't succeed. I swear it's not just my disdain for Bo Dallas saying this – the match was just really boring, and nobody cared. "Boring" chants in NXT are pretty rare, and a good indication you're doing something wrong.
Overall this show was pretty darn poor. None of the matches were worth watching. I can't even pick the "best" because there really wasn't a match that deserves any praise. Ultimately a totally forgettable episode where nothing happened. I realize they have to introduce characters and put people over using squash matches sometimes. Maybe try harder not to book three in one week, and then put a really disappointing main event on to close the night.
