4/17 WWE NXT Results – Brodus Clay Challenges Champion Adrian Neville, Great Khali in Action, The Ascension Dominate & More

Brodus Clay vs. Adrian Neville

Looks like Brodus also has a new theme song. It's pretty lame.

Neville attacks right away with kicks and a flurry of rights to the big man. He leaps onto Clay's back with a choke hold, but Brodus tosses him off easily. Adrian does about 4 different flips and comes off the top turnbuckle, but Brodus catches him out of the air and deadlift throws him across the ring for a two-count.

Clay in total control now, in a rest hold and clubbing away at the champ's chest at the same time. Adrian fights out of the hold, but gets headbutted down to the ground. Brodus sits down on Neville but the champ kicks out. He keeps up the offense for several minutes, stomping away at Adrian in the ropes, despite the referee yelling at him. He applies a nerve hold and the fans will Neville back into the match, firing away with kicks to the tree trunk legs.

Clay tries for a powerbomb, but Neville rakes the eyes and struggles free. He dropkicks Clay's knees out from under him, but is met with a big headbutt. Neville springboards off the ropes with a forearm shot to the big man. He sets Brodus up and goes up for the Red Arrow, but Brodus rolls out of the way just in time, destroying the champion with a running headbutt. They brawl to the outside and Neville ends up answering the count at 9, with Brodus getting counted out at 10.

Winner: Adrian Neville

After the match, Neville dropkicks Brodus Clay. The big guy retreats up the ramp as the champion stands tall in the ring.
