Bobby Lashley vs Eric Young (c)

Eric hits Lashley a few times and hits a crossbody from the turnbuckles to the floor, then Lashley avoids a second and throws Eric in the corner. He hits Eric a few times and throws him outside as we go to a break, then we get back to see Lashley suplex Eric and throw him in the corner. Eric elbows him and hits a dropkick, then he heads up top and hits a crossbody for two before Lashley whips him in the corner. Lashley goes for a clothesline but Eric sidesteps him, then Lashley slams Eric's head into the turnbuckles and sets up a Dominator.

Eric floats over and hits a piledriver, and makes the cover, but Kenny King pulls the ref outside so Eric attacks him on the floor. Lashley tries to hit Eric but Eric sidesteps him and Lashley hits King instead, then Eric DDT's him and goes for the cover. Eric gets a two count, then Lashley gets up and hits him before surprising him with a spear for the win. MVP, King and Lashley attack Eric after the bell, but Bobby Roode runs through the crowd and makes the save, and dares King or Lashley to fight him.

Winner and NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion – Bobby Lashley

BP: I'm actually not too upset with this one. Eric's run was probably not going to be that long, but he did get some pretty big wins. This had screwjob written all over it, and the theme of the night was MVP's out of control behavior, so it makes sense. You could argue that they could have had Roode help Eric retain, but it's still early to make any judgements. Lashley is a good guy to have as champion, and Eric's stock has done nothing but go up in the past few months. I think he will get another shot down the line, but for now I'm happy with a good show in front of a live crowd.
