WWE RAW Results (7/21) – Stephanie Gets Arrested, Ambrose vs Cesaro, HHH Picks New #1 Contender

 The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler

Miz avoids some strikes and tells the ref about his ‘moneymaker’, then Dolph chases him and dropkicks him before Miz stomps him a few times. Dolph floats over to counter a side suplex, then he hiptosses Miz and connects with some rapid elbows before Miz sends him to the apron. Dolph tries to backdrop him but Miz launches him into the ringpost, then we get back from a break to see Miz stomp Dolph in the corner. Miz suplexes him for two, then Dolph goes for a Zig Zag before Miz tries to hook the tights and steal the win. Dolph kicks out and knocks him down, then Miz hits a DDT for two before Dolph kicks him in the corner and sets up a DDT. Miz blocks it so Dolph goes for a Famouser, but Miz counters with a Figure Four attempt before Dolph finally plants him with a DDT. Dolph runs at him but Miz sweeps his legs and applies a Figure Four, but Dolph crawls to the ropes so Miz drags him back, only to have Dolph kick him back and hit a Famouser for two. Dolph goes for a Zig Zag but Miz blocks and goes for a Skull Crushing Finale, only to have Dolph counter with a Zig Zag for the win.

Winner – Dolph Ziggler

BP: Good match with plenty of drama and near falls. Miz is really coming into his own with his new Hollywood character. I hope this develops into a formal feud.

Triple H is backstage with Seth Rollins, and he tells Rollins that he doesn’t need a match with John Cena because he has the Money In The Bank briefcase. Rollins says it doesn’t matter because Dean Ambrose is always in his way, and Ambrose won’t stop until they make him stop. Cesaro walks in and makes his case for the Summerslam title match, and he says he’s officially renouncing himself as a Heyman guy, and he wants to be a HHH guy. Rollins says HHH already has a guy, but HHH says he can make a statement if he takes care of their problem, Dean Ambrose, tonight.

Paige & AJ Lee vs Natalya & Emma

Emma elbow AJ a few times and goes for a rollup, then AJ gets her own rollup before she throws Emma into the turnbuckles and makes the tag. Paige whips her but Emma gets her in the Dil-Emma, then Nattie tags in and throws her before putting her in the Sharpshooter. Paige crawls and makes the tag, then AJ surprises Nattie with a Shining Wizard before Nattie taps out to the Black Widow.

Paige raises AJ’s arm but quickly slams her on the mat, then she kicks her and throws her into the barricade. Paige hits her a few more times, then she throws her into the commentary table and mocks her by skipping to the back.

Winners – Paige & AJ Lee

BP: I thought the turn might be teased another week or two, but there it is. Good to see Paige finally make the turn, but man, she still needs work. She looked to be in pain as she was taunting the crowd; she’s going to need to be protected or make strides vocally in the next few weeks.
