Update On TNA Finding A New Network; Could They Go To WGN?, NXT Live Event Notes

turning pointTNA Finding A New Network

While there was some fan speculation that TNA could be picked up by WGN America, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter says this is unlikely to happen.

WGN is in the process of dropping Chicago sports programming to transition to a basic cable network, and it was suggested that TNA would fit in on the channel. Meltzer said eventhough the channel is moving in a new direction, they are unlikely to add any wrestling programming. Things could obviously change with the new direction of the network, but it’s unlikely since they cancelled WWE programming on the channel a few years ago.

NXT Live Event Notes

NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte and Bayley were featured in last night’s main event of the NXT live show in Citrus Springs, Florida.

The reason they worked the main event instead of the usual top names is because many of the NXT stars were on the road with the main WWE roster. NXT Champion Adrian Neville defeated Tyler Breeze at the WWE live event in Dayton, Ohio, and Sami Zayn defeated Tyson Kidd and Big E & Kofi Kingston defeated NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension at the WWE live event in Hampton, Virginia.
