Legendary Announcer on Raw?

88-year-old legendary wrestling announce Lance Russell will be in the Memphis area for next week’s Monday Night Raw. He will be making an appearance at the Tribute to the King event this Thursday, in honor of Jerry Lawler. According to reports, there was talk of bringing Russell out prior to Raw to introduce Lawler, but King wants him to accompany him to the announce table instead.

Lance Russell is a long-time Memphis area announcer, most notably for NWA Mid-America and the Continental Wrestling Association. He is responsible for Lawler first being brought into the organization as an artist, and eventually him becoming a pro wrestler altogether.
