(1) NXT Women’s Championship
Charlotte (c) vs. Bayley

They do official ring introductions before the lock-up, which Charlotte wins. They split and Bayley gets a quick roll-up and almost steals it. She does another 3 or 4 pin attempts, which annoys the champ. Bayley does an arm drag, which was so poor I actually thought Charlotte was just flipping in the air for no reason. The challenger controls the match for a minute with rest holds, and the crowd is split between them. They do some chain and mat grappling which – I guess – Charlotte ends up winning, as she follows up with kicks to the knee and a twisting hold that the announcers over-sell. After a brief commercial, Charlotte continues assaulting a now injured leg. They do rest holds for a few minutes, with the champ breaking a few times to add more punishment to the leg. Bayley fights back with some elbows and tries for a pin but can’t get it. Her ax handles are really sloppy. Charlotte blocks the leg and rolls to the floor. She teases the Figure Four on the ring post, but settles for just beating the hell out of her instead. She locks in the Figure Four and even bridges the move to apply more pressure; certainly something I’ve never seen her dad do! Bayley eventually rolls the hold over, but Charlotte gets in the ropes to break it up. Bayley charges the corner with some shoulder thrusts, and comes off the second rope with a rolling elbow for two. Charlotte responds with a neckbreaker and hits Bow Down to the Queen for the win.

Winner: Charlotte
