UFC Fighter Claims to Be CM Punk’s First Opponent

cm punkUFC Welterweight Cathal Pendred is claiming on Twitter to be CM Punk’s first opponent. If this is indeed true, it would make little sense given Pendred hold a 15-2 record and Dana White said Punk’s first opponent would be someone with a record similar to Punk’s, which is 0-0.

Pendred posted the following on Twitter:

“This punk is going to be ‘one & done’ in the UFC. It looks like I will be that one. #JustWonTheLottery …

“Croke Park, 2015
“Main Event: Aldo vs McGregor
“Co-Main: Pendred vs CM Punk

“UFC attendance record smashed.
“UFC PPV sales record obliterated.”
