Backstage Update on WWE Tough Enough: News on Talent Contracts, NXT Talent on the Show, Third Gen Star and More

wwe tough enoughAccording to Reddit user MetsFan4Ever, who is a verified WWE insider, the new season of WWE Tough Enough, which will air on the USA Network, will feature NXT talents who have yet to debut on NXT TV.

Additionally, both WWE officials and USA Network officials were scouting some of the talent at the recent Performance Center tryout as possible cast members for the show.

With regards to contracts, NXT reportedly has first refusal rights, which means they have the right to initially offer a tryout camp participant a contract, and should they pass on offering a contract, then USA can offer the talent a WWE Tough Enough deal.

It’s being said a third generation name who appeared at the Performance Center tryout has been offered a spot on WWE Tough Enough, but the deal has not been finalized as USA is waiting to see if NXT makes an offer first. As we previously reported, third generation name Tessa Blanchard, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard, was at the last Performance Center tryout, so while it has not been confirmed that she’s the name in question, it seems likely.
