3/8 Wrestlezone Recap: Bill DeMott Takes “Tough Enough” Too Far, Triple H in Hall of Fame; This Week’s Major Wrestling News

Indie Wrestling News

As for Rey Mysterio, who was also officially released last week, the former world champion has been announced for several AAA events and debuted at House of Hardcore over the weekend. While there still may be a legal issue between Mysterio and WWE, there was an agreement in place to part amicably and plans for a final WrestleMania run were scrapped.

The New Japan Cup kicked off this week. The first round had some big shockers in the second bracket, and the second show narrowed things down to the final four men. Kota Ibushi, Naito, Togi Makabe and Hirooki Goto are left standing.

House of Hardcore ran another iPPV this weekend that featured a ton of names including the Young Bucks, the Dudley Boyz, Matt Hardy, the former Curt Hawkins vs. the former Justin Gabriel and more. Rey Mysterio also made a surprise appearance.

Speaking of HoH, owner Tommy Dreamer is looking to take down websites pirating and distributing wrestling shows. Good luck.
