Magnus is Attacked by The Revolution
Magnus talks about what he did to James Storm and says that he would do it again. This prompt Abyss to come out and both men begin to fight. Magnus uses some grill tongs to grab Abyss’ private parts, then he hits him with a grill lid and catches Manik off the ropes.
Khoya runs out and beats Magnus with a walking stick before Abyss chokeslams Magnus.
Magnus, a week ago, was viewed as a heel and was a dumb idea. They made him get booed for standing up for his wife. James Storm was cheered, which was NOT what they wanted to happen. Tonight, TNA realized that they needed a beat down to Magnus to get the fans behind him again. There is nothing like a group of guys attacking to get cheers for the vulnerable one.
Magnus and Storm have a feud now, thanks to the talented Mickie James. It is all about her and is something different. I am cool with this and hope they drag it out to backstage segments, more personal and intimate details in the story. I just hope TNA does not do this similar to what Taryn is trying to do with Gail.
Best of Five Series
The Wolves are back, fighting Roode and Aries in a Best of Five series. The first match goes to Davey and Eddie.
After some back and forth action, Davey calls for Creeping Death but Aries ducks it, only to have Eddie kick him and connect with a lungblower.
Bobby Roode pulls Davey outside and Aries hits a Suicide Dive to the outside. Aries hits a missile dropkick. Roode tries to hit a Spinebuster, but Davey floats over him and rolls him up for the shocking win.
The first of five was really good and smooth. It was simple and focused on how good of a “team” The Wolves are. You see Roode and Aries upset and frustrated, which will carry over to a victory in the second match. I like this and think that you really need to build a dramatic series. This can carry for over a month and culminate into a championship match at TNA Slammiversary. What would you put for the stipulation?
