More Details on Why WWE Might Sign a Former German Footballer

Tim WieseAs noted, WWE NXT coach Robbie Brookside recently tweeted, then deleted, an announcement that former football goalie Tim Wiese was going to have a WWE tryout.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Wiese was actually at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando training last week, and the 33 year old German’s tryout picked up a bit of mainstream press.

It’s being said WWE is looking to create a German Superstar right now and Wiese fits the mold of what WWE is looking for in terms of his physique. WWE already has a German wrestler in NXT, Axel Tischer, but it’s being said his promos are not very good so Wiese could be someone of interest for WWE

Sebastian Hackl, the German TV announcer who is a former wrestler, was also in Orlando last week. Hackl works at the WWE Germany offices as social media editor and helps with the media.
