Complete AAA TripleMania PPV Results (8/9): Mysterio vs Myzteziz, Alberto El Patron vs Brian Cage Hair vs Hair Match and More

Striker said the next segment will touch your heart. He encouraged people to call anyone into the room who has watched wrestling before…

A man stood on the stage and spoke in Spanish. Hugo apparently tried to translate, but he was barely audible. AAA director Joaquin Roldan was introduced, and he set up a tribute to the late Perro Augayo Jr., who tragically died in the ring in March.

There was also a tribute to Hector Garza, who died of lung cancer in 2013. Striker could barely be heard talking about how the Mexican National Title that Garza held has been retired. Members of both families walked onto the stage, where large plaques for both men were positioned.

An Aguayo video package aired on the big screen. Hugo could actually be heard translating as the footage played. Both Aguayo and Garza were inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame. Striker said Aguayo had money and didn’t need to wrestle, but he ran a promotion that constantly lost money and he didn’t care because he wanted the wrestlers to have a place to work…

They transitioned to setting up one of the co-main events. Striker said this match had him nervous because animosity between the fans and Brian Cage is at an all-time high and the political climate between the U.S. and Mexico doesn’t help the cause.

Brian Cage made his entrance and El Hijo Del Fantasma with him and a woman waving the American flag. Cage wore a “Vote Trump” t-shirt. A mariachi band and dancers performed on the stage for Alberto El Patron’s entrance…

5. Alberto El Patron (w/Fenix) vs. Brian Cage (w/El Hijo Del Fantasma) in a Hair vs. Hair match. Alberto used a chair as a weapon early. He targeted Cage’s head with three, but they were light and Cage put his hand up for each one. Alberto performed an early suicide dive.

Back in the ring, Alberto went for the Cross Arm Breaker, but Cage powered out. Both broadcast team members could be heard clearly. Cage used the chair and took a shot to the head of Alberto. Striker noted that Alberto put his hand up and said he could still break a finger or a wrist. Alberto’s finger bled from the chair.

At ringside, Fantasma ran Fenix into ring post. Meanwhile, Alberto bladed his forehead. Cage used a cookie sheet as a weapon and then performed a standing moonsault for a two count. Alberto came back with a neckbreaker. Fantasma entered the match and attacked Alberto. Striker noted that there were no disqualifications.

Fenix recovered and attacked both heels. He performed a cool spingboard dive onto Fantasma at ringside, then Cage caught him with a clothesline and a powerbomb into the ring post. Cage ran Fenix toward Fantasma, who backdropped him onto the entrance ramp.

Cage set up a pair of tables inside the ring and a chair was wedged between the ropes. Striker put over the danger of the table spot by talking about how it could lead to tetanus. I’m not making that up. Alberto started to make his comeback.
